THREE (Mobile phone network)
Three are running an employability program which is due to start on 6th March and is designed for people who are interested in pursuing a career within the mobile phone or retail industries. The application deadline is 17th February 2017.
The program is for 6 weeks and will cover the following:
1-week Pre-Employability training - delivering workshops in CV Preparation, Budgeting, Interview Techniques, Work Based Etiquette, Workplace Do’s / Dont’s, Identifying and overcoming Work Related Barriers and Team Building.
12-day work placement as part of the program in a 3 Retail Store in and around Central London with a guaranteed job interview offered to all participants who successfully graduate.
Eligibility criteria:
- Must be 18-24 years old
- Passionate about Phones, Gadgets, and Technology
- Available on a Full-Time basis from 6th March 2017 to 14h April 2017
- Interested in the Mobile Phone & Retail Industry
- Proof of Identity - Full Birth Certificate or Valid Passport
- Willing to undergo a Credit Check

PAINTING and DECORATING APPRENTICE

Job Description
- 18+
- CSCS card holder
- 8am-5pm
- Salary – TBC
- Maths and English GCSE A-C
- Four days on site, one day college release
- H&F residents will be prioritised
Day-to-day tasks may include:
- measuring surface areas and working out how much paint or wall covering is needed
- preparing the materials you need
- filling holes and cracks and making sure surfaces are level
- covering surfaces with primer and undercoat
- mixing paint to the right shade, often using computerised colour-matching equipment
- applying coats of paint, hanging wallpaper and adding special finishes like glazes or marbling
- tidying up after finishing, and cleaning your tools
Some of the work will involve working at height from ladders, scaffolding or a safety cradle. You’ll wear protective clothing at all times.
DRY LINING APPRENTICE
- 18+
- CSCS card holder
- 8am-5pm
- Salary – TBC
- Four days on site, one day college release
- H&F residents will be prioritised
This job will involve dividing large areas into rooms using metal stud partitioning systems such as plasterboard and wall board, which are fixed up and joined together ready for decorating.
No formal requirements, but it’s useful to have GCSEs (grade A*-C) in English and Maths. Good numeracy skills are essential as you’ll be calculating surface areas and volumes.
