HOME-START VOLUNTEER OPENING (Volunteering)

Open to anyone 18 and over.
This provides support for families with children 5 and under. However, anyone wanting to give back to the community and become a trained volunteer will also receive some of the following benefits:
Volunteers get 40 hours accredited training by Certa, Level 1 or Level
DBS are paid for by Home-Start.
Travel expenses are reimbursed (For course and while volunteering).
Volunteers get support towards their childcare.
Volunteers receive reference from Home-Start.

93 Feet East

OC alumni & Resident DJ’s Cultured Link are hosting this weekly event and will be turning the Old Truman Brewery into a Utopia. This free event is an all day exursion where you can enjoy the fun in a 3-in-1 building capacity. While it sports as a bar, it can be transformed into a club or a live music venue. With it’s 3 rooms, and a courtyard you’re sure to see out the weekend with proper style. Expect Cocktails, House Music and a chilled vibe in the shisha garden. (FREE Sun 1-10.30pm)

Fabric Pop Up

With the legendary nightclub coming to a close, we couldn’t just forget those noughties flavours and the 00’s mad crazy nights, that’s why Fabric is coming to Camden, to resurrect those old school melodies and shut down the lock. #SaveFabric is a 2 day pop up extravaganza where all things #Fabric will be on offer. Tees, Hoodies, Merchandise are all on sale and the profits will go to the #SaveFabric campaign. (FREE Sat 11-6pm….. Sun 11-4pm)

Bishop Nephru

Video Director/Rapper/Songwriter Bishop Nephru has been making serious noise on the New York underground circuit. While big names like Joey Badass, Que Hampton & WF Marco have been the talk of the time, Bishop has been grafting as a videographer, and only made music as an experiment. As his buzz and great camera skills got him noticed, he released the mix-tape “Nehruvia”, which has that 90s effect to it and gained recognition as being a young kid ahead of his time being only 19. Even though his voice is alike that of Joey Badass, be sure to appreciate the good vibes and vibrant music on offer at Oslo. (Oslo, Hackney. Show starts at 18.30pm £7)

Hackney Flea Market

Winter is coming, and what a way to get your winter clobber at a discounted price then get down to the Peckham Flea Market. Situated in Peckham’s Salvage Yard, it hosts vintage designers, french homewares, 20th century furniture, electrical etc. (FREE, 11-6pm)

Italian Festival

Devonshire Square hosts Italian food from 8 different regions from Italy. Italy is famous for Pizzeria, but all foods including chicken, pork, beef, lamb etc will be showcased to mingle and tingle your tastebuds. (FREE, 30th September 12-6pm)

Vintage Car Boot Sale

Lewis Cubitt Square holds the vintage sale where you can pick up anything from 1960’s antiques to retro homewares to clothes and jewelry for next to nothing. Why not have a quiet weekend and explore one of the bargain hotspots of the nation. With it’s theme being vintage vehicles, be sure to see some of those old race cars.
